The Best Sounds from the XPS-10 and XPS-30—and Beyond
The XPS-60 builds on the popular XPS-10 and XPS-30 with enhanced sounds powered by advanced Roland technology. It includes new Indian percussion sounds like tabla and kendang, and allows easy sharing of customized scene data between users.
Add Global Instruments with the World Expansion Series
The XPS-60 supports region-specific sound expansions via the Roland Cloud’s World Expansion series, featuring rare instrument sounds. In 2023, Roland launched a major sampling project, starting with Indian instruments—69 newly recorded sounds including santoor, sitar, tabla, and more. These are grouped into four categories, with the 'Special Selection' pack preinstalled on the XPS-60. Additional sound packs will be available through Roland Cloud Manager, with more regional expansions coming in 2025.
Fast Tone Selection and Sound Creation
The XPS-60 offers a user-friendly interface with a clear display and category-based tone selection. Players can easily shape sounds using Sound Modify controls, layer or split tones, adjust octaves and transposition, and use arpeggio and chord memory functions. Customized setups can be saved as Scene memories for instant recall during performances.
Versatile Audio Player
The XPS-60’s onboard Audio Player lets you enhance performances with backing tracks. Simply load WAV/AIFF files via USB and assign them to the eight phrase pads. You can adjust pitch and playback speed independently, making it easy to match a vocalist’s range or adapt the tempo during live shows.
Connect with Computers and Mobile Devices
The XPS-60 features a class-compliant USB-C audio/MIDI interface. It integrates computers and mobile devices seamlessly into your workflow. You can perform and record with music apps or stream gig audio via your phone. It also includes powerful DAW control for your computer. You can manage various software functions directly from the XPS-60 panel.
